Garage Repair

Garage repair is something that every homeowner will have to deal with at some point. In most cases, simple repair jobs can be relatively easy to accomplish without the help of a professional. A homeowner with a rudimentary set of tools can often do the job by themselves.

If your door is hard to open, some minor garage repair work might be in order. The rails should be carefully inspected for any crimps, dents or flat spots. Irregularities in the rails can deter the smooth operation of the door. Some of these dents can be fixed with a small hammer and a block of wood, but if the damage is too great, replacing the rails is the best option.

Periodically inspecting your door is recommended to avoid costly garage repair bills. Any loose nuts or bolts should be tightened and the rails should be checked to make sure they’re properly aligned. Spring tension should be adjusted as needed.
